We're all for buying local. Even when that nearly always means (a) higher prices and (b) less of what we're looking for. The local folks will tell you they offer more "hometown service" or "the personal touch you won't find at the big box stores."
So why do the clerks in so many indy book stores/record shops/coffee houses act like they're doing us a favor by getting off their stools to take our money? We know you have an exam Thursday, but come on.
We want to support you, local guy. So just give us a reason to do so.
