Are we in a restaurant or a nursing home?

We understand that chain restaurants script a great deal of what their employees say to customers.

But this hacky line....

"Hi, I'm X, and I'M GOING TO BE TAKING CARE OF YOU TONIGHT."

These people are waiting on us.  They are waiters or waitresses.  Let's keep the "show not tell" scriptwriting rule in effect here, shall we?
