Miss California Carrie Prejean was allowed to retain her crown this week, despite controversy over the inconsistency between her strong religious views and propensity for posing in her underwear. A teary Prejean thanked God (who took a few minutes off from assisting basketball players sink last-second shots) for his role in helping her keep the title.
