This renaissance fair is positively syfy!

The good folks at the SciFi Channel are changing their name to SyFy (pronounced "Sci Fi").

The substitution of the letter "Y" in place of the letter "I" signifies new emphasis on fantasy, the supernatural, and the paranormal -- you know, the usual subjects associated with the letter "Y."

Syfy also announced its new "Stargate Universe" series will star Ly Dymynd Phyllyps.

Gotta say: LDP? Sexy as ever, even when Y is used as an inconsistent vowel.
